Kyle is relaxing in a steaming bath in a dimly lit room of the Dahak palace. The candle light makes the water glisten softly. A towel is draped over his face. All of a sudden Jasmine casually walks in with BloodWyne bottle in hand. Nearing Kyle, a stumble disrupts her stride but she maintains the bulk of her balance.
JASMINE WITH NOTICABLE CONTEMP
Well, well... The rumors clouding the air of Dahak are true. The Great Kyle Lance has returned to my empire and my mother's bed. As if I needed whispers and gossip to know of your presence. I can smell your sickening crimson nectar from 40 verst away.
Kyle does not stir. He simply keeps relaxing.
KYLE MUFFLED THROUGH TOWEL
...From what I gather "Crimson Nectar" shows great favor of a particular blood amongst the "Moon Spawn". I'm at a loss, Lady Jasmine. Do you detest my blood...or do you favor it?
A look appears on Jasmine's face as if she is backtracking in her own drunken mind. Trying to remember if she actually used the term of affection. She gives up on it and responds with anger.
JASMINE ANGRILY
Make no mistake, Lance. I detest you and your blood with every ounce of my being! You are low and common. You have no right to parade your underlings across my threshold, eat my food, and partake of my mother's flesh as if you were Emperor of Dahak! You're very presence here is an affront to my noble name and indeed the entire Dahak rule. It seems that lust has hindered my mother's better judgment. I see but one weakness in Lady Dahlia and it is you, Kyle Lance. A weakness that I plan to rid her of.
Kyle remains motionless
KYLE CALMLY
...Do not mistake my affection for your mother for intrusion upon your court. I only accept as much hospitality as she is willing to give. Take notice and be proud, you have a wise and generous ruler who knows how to welcome guests into her empire.
Jasmine's face lights up with greater anger
JASMINE WITH GREAT ANGER
How dare you!! To suggest I know not how to welcome guests into my home! I welcome guests but disrespectful parasites like you find themselves subject to my quaking wrath! I know what glory mongering mortals like you seek in powerful women. Conquest, riches, and reputation. Every last drop of your charisma is used to build a name for yourself and you care not who you trample in your path. Leaving all below you in ruin as you rise to the top! I will not let you ruin Dahak!
Kyle lifts the towel and hovers it over his face but he does not turn in Jasmine's direction.
KYLE CALMLY
...You mistake me for a different sort of man. I am no threat to Dahak Rule. I have no lust for money, power, or status of legend. I care not to have my name on the lips of those here and those to come. Believe me if you wish... don't if you wish. It means very little to me but I have no spare energy to devote to falsehoods and lies. I as most men, have very simple desires. To care for those who have devoted themselves to me and to see the downfall of the one man who would bring the world into ruin. Those are my only two driving forces. The chroniclers and the historians can portray me as a greedy, psychotic devil if doing so will give them some sort of pleasure but it matters not to me. I need no positive reinforcement from you or any other to validate my causes.
Kyle returns the towel to his face. Jasmine has an almost surprised look on her face but it is quickly replaced by anger as soon as it appears he is ignoring her. She pauses, not being completely sure on how to further berate him.
JASMINE ANGRILY
You forget whose house you bathe in! You will not ignore me, Lance! You do me great disrespect by not even facing me as I speak to you. You should bend your back and bow your head to the floor at my feet and beg me not to call in the guard to behead you.
Kyle sighs. He realizes that Jasmine will not grant him a few moments peace. His hands begin to claw with irritation. He snatches the towel off of his face, stands up and, steps out of the bath, and marches naked directly into her face. Jasmine's eyes widen as she takes in the sight of Kyle in his glistening full frontal glory. He does not look pleased as he stares her down with his burning red eyes, glaring with intensity. Jasmine remains motionless as his massive form hovers over her. She is unsure what he will attempt.
KYLE WITH RESTRAINT
(through teeth) Lady Jasmine, I have so few opportunities for rest that I seem to have forgotten my better teachings regarding proper respect to royalty. A thousand and one pardons for my crude behavior. My tact seems to be on an embarrassing decline. Since my enemy has no respect for crown or creed, I'm afraid I've had to lower myself aswell. This low behavior seems to have developed into a very bad habit. But rest assured you are not the most devastated by my brutish and uneducated manner. (begins walking forward as she steps back) I've killed my share of princes and kings in battle, I've defied rulers the world over, and just a few months ago, I nailed King Physal of Stallia's hand to his own thrown with my dagger for betraying my trust. So it appears that I have forgotten my place as a commoner. Do forgive me.
Jasmine's back meets with a wall as she stares back at him with wide eyes and blushing face. All of a sudden Jasmine kisses Kyle passionately on his lips. Kyle's is still frowning but there is noticeable surprise on his face as well. Jasmine stops kissing Kyle then delivers a hard smack across his face with her right hand. Jasmine runs out of the room with an embarrassed look on her face. After the initial shock wears off, Kyle can only chuckle.
